Having a tree on either side of your porch is an excellent idea as it really adds an impressive look to it. Trees truly are impressive though there are also some disadvantages to some. For example, some trees lose their leaves and they could fall on walkways which could make them extremely slippery. So, watch out for this and ensure that the trees are not overlapping any walkways to make it as safe as possible.
Finally, decorating your front porch is a great way to add a little something to the overall landscape. You could possibly place a bench within it depending entirely upon its size. Also, you could again add some plants within it to make it look a little more welcoming.
